Webp image file format?

Webp image file format seems to be growing in popularity online. However, this google generated open source format won't upload to the forums. Is there anyway of adding this format so it can be uploaded without having to convert to Jpeg first? Or am I missing a trick?

Open it with Microsoft Paint and save it as jpg.

Yes I can convert them but one pic at time takes forever - about 5% of my pics are now in this format!!

Hey!

At the moment, the WebP file format is not supported for uploads on the forums or our upload site. However, it is supported on our file hosting site (Nextcloud).

I will work on adding support for WebP uploads in the future.

In the meantime, you can use a conversion software like WebP Converter, which can handle batch conversions to JPG or PNG, allowing you to convert multiple files at once instead of one by one.
